What do we offer?

Transition placement of up to 15 hours a week to provide exceptional provision for a young person who is currently not attending a school setting, due to any of, but not limited to the following reasons: anxiety, difficulties with mental health, trauma, attachment, or a young person who does not currently have a named school that are able to meet their needs.

A bespoke program based on the young person’s EHCP outcomes (if applicable) and needs, in a calm, low demand, SpLd friendly environment with a staged transition focused on well-being and relationship building. Outreach can be arranged to facilitate initial transition to setting.

  • Low demand baselining of current academic and SEMH needs.
  • Multi-sensory 1:1 sessions with qualified practitioners and teachers.
  • Interest led provision with embedded key skills in Mathematics and English; following the functional skills curriculum up to level 2 (GCSE equivalent).
  • Preparation for Adulthood (PFA), life and independence skills.
  • Offer up to 15 hours of support within EOTIS Packages in academic learning and wellbeing; working towards outcomes within the EHCP.
  • Social and community opportunities and qualifications: Forest School, Thrive, Outdoor and Sustainable learning.
  • Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT), clinically proven therapy combining talking about an issue and tapping on acupressure points on the head and upper body.
  • Low demand and multi-sensory learning sessions with qualified teachers for ages 5- 18.
  • Associations with other professionals and organisations e.g. Educational Psychologists, Autistic Society and Dyslexia Association.
  • Work alongside local independent school to facilitate the sitting of public examinations within Annandale house, so that the young person feels in a familiar setting.
  • Actively support successful transitions to registered schools or settings.
  • Drawing & Talking.
  • Relax Kids, Cosmic Kids Yoga and Mind Tools for Kids coaching.
  • Story Massage.

Holistic Learning

A curiosity style of learning is delivered in purposefully designed learning spaces at Annandale House where learning experiences are led by the young person to build confidence, problem solving strategies and engagement in a wide-ranging area of opportunities.

A team of experienced practitioners and coaches.

A large outdoor space with a sensory garden, animals and exploration of natural resources are integral to our holistic provision at David Rees.

Accredited Courses offered

  • Functional Skills Level 2 in Mathematics and English (GCSE equivalents).
  • AQA unit awards.
